Meat is one of the central items as well, and Korea is well known for its barbecue. Bulgogi is a type of barbecue meat that people prepare by thinly slicing and marinating beef. You can eat it as breakfast, just like unseasoned pork belly, lettuce leaves, and kimchi.
With white rice come side dishes, or Banchan, as they call it. These are light items that you can eat as an accompaniment to the main food. You can also eat these with meat or other heavy food. Slightly boiled vegetables like spinach and spicy cucumbers are common Banchan. Black beans in sugar and soy sauce are also a very appetizing and delicious yet simple side dish. But one of the most popular elements has to be kimchi, which people eat at almost every meal.
Street Food and Western Influence On Korean Food Breakfast Items-
Even if Koreans eat almost the same dishes throughout the day, some food items show up more in the morning. For example, you can find a breakfast sandwich with egg, cabbage, and brown sugar known as tost-u at the vendors. There are also sweet rice flour donuts, banana milk, and a type of bread topped with egg. Because of the slowly advancing interest in Western food, you can also find cereals and breakfast pastries at some restaurants in Korea.
